Immediate Dental Implants

Getting immediate dental implants can feel almost like a matter of life and death. When an accident or other trauma removes one or more teeth right before a wedding, a job interview, a long planned-for vacation, or any other big event, quick solutions are obviously very desirable. Beverly Hills Periodontics & Dental Implant Center and Dr. Soleymani have a solution for oral catastrophes such as these: same-day dental implants. Patients who are candidates can enter and leave our office with a new dental implant – and an attractive smile – in a single visit.

An Advanced Procedure

Performing an implant procedure so quickly is no simple task. It requires the highest level of expertise and the best available technology. At our offices, we have the capability to use advanced 3D CT imaging and virtual modeling software to place the implant in the proper angulation, depth, and position. Because of the accuracy and effectiveness of these technologies, recovery time can be dramatically minimized.

Additionally, we work with some of the best dental laboratories in the country to fabricate and deliver immediate provisionals (temporary crowns) which can be either made using the 3D printing methods or the traditional type methods. This allows us to place a fixed (non-removable) temporary crown over the implant on the same day. This way our patient can walk out with a very aesthetically pleasing restoration on the same day.

To properly evaluate each case, a consultation visit is recommended because not every patient is a candidate for immediate implant placement or an immediate restoration. This way we evaluate each case individually, the different factors affecting each case will be thoroughly evaluated, and the different options and alternatives will be discussed.

Why Dental Implants?

Whether you get them on an expedited time frame or in a more gradual approach, dental implants have emerged as the gold-standard for the replacement of missing teeth. Since they look and act essentially just like real teeth, they have numerous benefits in terms of convenience and appearance, but that’s far from the whole story.

Many patients are not aware that losing a tooth has consequences beyond the obvious. Missing teeth significantly contribute to bone loss which, over time, can lead to numerous issues including the potential for losing more teeth. Because implants actually fuse with the jawbone over a period of time, they cause the body to react as if a real tooth was present and thereby largely prevent bone loss. Dentures and bridgework do not address this issue.
