All-on-Four Dental Implants

As opposed to the traditional procedure that uses between 10 and 14 dental implants per arch, All-on-Four dental implants involve four implants that are strategically placed to maximize their benefits along with an entire row of replacement prosthetic teeth. The clinically tested All-on-Four procedure is naturally less invasive than the traditional approach. In many cases, the full arch-fixed prosthesis with the All-on-Four procedure is provided to the patient on the same day, allowing for an immediate result.

Dr. Peiman Soleymani and his team at Beverly Hills Periodontics & Dental Implant Center have been helping patients obtain healthier and more attractive smiles for decades. The All-on-Four procedure is just one example of offering the latest and best in oral health care.

All-on-Four versus Traditional Dental Implants

Dental Implants are considered to be substantially superior to dentures, partial dentures, and bridgework. In terms of function, dentures provide only 10% of the function provided by a full set of natural dentition. When all of one’s teeth are lost in an arch, the All-On-Four technique re-establishes 80-85% of the lost function which is considered to be a drastic improvement when compared to the traditional denture.

The All-on-Four technique can be a much more favorable route for patients who require a full set of lower and/or upper prosthetic teeth either to replace newly missing or soon-to-be extracted teeth or for denture wearers who would like a superior alternative. The All-on-Four technique in general offers a less invasive procedure, involves fewer visits, and often times is much less expensive than the traditional rehabilitation methods. The idea of walking out with same-day dental implants along with same day provisional fixed prosthesis is a very attractive feature for many patients who choose the ALL-On-Four approach.

Who is a Candidate for All-on-Four Dental Implants?

Patients with mobile, non-salvageable teeth or patients with ill-fitting dentures can be good candidates for this type of approach. A full mouth examination and a 3 D CT Scan image will be used to determine if one is a candidate for this method.
