Patients who have been edentulous (lacking teeth) for many years often struggle to keep their dental prosthesis in place due to bone resorption. Their challenges can often be overcome by having dental implants placed in either the upper jaw or lower jaw with overdenture prosthesis, an increasingly popular solution to this issue.

Overdentures are essentially dentures with attachments designed within them that would be placed over dental implants.
